Minn. pediatric hospital to use wireless data exchange system

The Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota has deployed a system designed by CareFusion and Cerner that allows for wireless data transmission between patient infusion pumps and EHRs. The platform, considered to be the first of its kind in the U.S., reduces human errors by doing away with the need to program the pump manually and measure medication doses by hand.
