Precast museum achieves high rating for sustainable building design

The six-story, 180,000-square-foot Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas, which was "designed and built using green building practices," has reached a four Green Globes rating from the Green Building Initiative --  a rare achievement because only 12 out of 759 Green Globes certified buildings in the U.S. have achieved such a rating. "The Perot Museum has reshaped and redefined design opportunities and continues to gain global recognition for its sustainable efforts," Angela Fedele writes.
