Proposal to study E15 fuel would cost about $1M, says CBO

A proposal that would require more study for midlevel ethanol gas blends is expected to cost about $1 million to implement, according to a review done by the Congressional Budget Office. The H.R. 875 would require the Environmental Protection Agency to work with the National Academy of Sciences in evaluating the scientific and technical research on midlevel ethanol blends. It would also prohibit sales of these fuel blends until the study is finished.
