Boehner blames Obama for immigration deadlock


House Speaker John Boehner told Republicans that there was no "secret conspiracy" to push through immigration reform, and he blamed President Barack Obama for the legislature's failure to tackle the issue. A lack of trust in the president left lawmakers with little appetite for reform, Boehner said in a private meeting. "He was crystal clear," said Rep. Steve Southerland. "President Obama is the reason we don't have immigration [reform]."
