Microsoft review ends with IPG, Dentsu Aegis as winners

Interpublic Group has been named the new agency of record for Microsoft's advertising and global deployment, while the company's media planning, buying and search advertising will now be handled by Dentsu Aegis. Publicis and WPP previously held those roles, and the selections are the result of a review that began in January. "We believe both groups will help us communicate more strategically and efficiently in a rapidly evolving marketplace," said Chief Marketing Officer Chris Capossela.
