Report: Location-based marketing to make up 38.6% of mobile advertising by 2018

The value of mobile location-based advertising and marketing is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 54% in four years to $14.8 billion and make up 38.6% of all mobile advertising, according to Berg Insight. The social networking and entertainment categories make up the highest revenue segment of location-based services, followed by the mapping and navigation segment, the report stated.
