Visa settles debit card lawsuit

Days after MasterCard settled with major retailers for $1 billion, Visa has agreed to pay $2 billion to settle charges that it forced stores to accept its debit cards. Starting in 2004, stores that accept these companies' credit cards will not be required to also accept their debit cards.
