Restaurants, retail shops prepared to close today

The tens of thousands of immigrant workers who are expected to boycott work today have pushed restaurants, meat packing plants, small retail shops and other businesses to prepare for possible shutdowns. "We're on the same side as our workers on this one from a policy standpoint," said a representative from a restaurant industry group.
