Redmond Airport prepares to unveil expanded terminal

The $40 million expansion of the Redmond, Ore., airport terminal will quadruple capacity and provide views of the runways and surrounding scenery, while retaining the original building's wooden beams and rock siding. The facility's new wing, set to open in two months, also will be solar-powered and Wi-Fi equipped. "We're taking what I feel is the essence of the building and just expanding it," said architect Barton Drake.
