PG&E launches temporary fix to smart meter controversy

While Pacific Gas & Electric hammers out an agreement with California regulators over concerns related to its wireless smart meters, the utility has created a "delay list" that would allow its customers to opt out of using the meters in exchange for an upfront fee as well as a monthly reading charge.
