Mass. considers lifting ban on drug copay cards

The Massachusetts House is considering lifting a ban on drugmaker-issued copay cards along with legislation to lift a ban on gifts to doctors from drug and medical device makers. Lifting the copay card ban would increase costs to Massachusetts taxpayers, employers and unions by $750 million over a decade, according to a study by the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association.
