Ohio Gov. John Kasich's proposed rules for hydraulic fracturing and chemical disclosure are set to be tackled by state lawmakers. The state's oil and natural gas industry, however, says many of the regulations in the proposal must be aligned with current industry practices. Kasich's measures "will probably require pretty significant modifications and amendments. It has some inconsistencies with the current regulatory regime that will need to be straightened out," said W. Jonathan Airey, an industry representative.
