N.C. amendment campaign cites "Jesus" as reason for passage

The official campaign to pass North Carolina's Amendment 1, which would ban both marriage equality and civil unions across the state, is using a spokesman who is citing religious justifications for denying same-sex couples any form of partnership rights. The spokesman, Patrick Wooden, also said gays and lesbians should be allowed to marry, so long as they renounce their homosexuality and marry someone of the opposite sex.
