One WTC makes milestone

One World Trade Center reached 1,271 feet above ground on Monday afternoon, making it New York City's tallest building. It has taken more than a decade to get this far, but the building "is a symbol of determination and ingenuity of the men and women who have worked tirelessly to build what is perhaps the most complex construction project in our history," said Scott Rechler, vice chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and chairman and CEO of RXR Realty. "You can see from the people working here, this is more than a job to build this incredible tower, but it is an act of passion and an act of patriotic duty."
