In late March, the 4A's issued a bulletin on "How Brands Can Use Pinterest Without Breaking the Law." Since then, the site has updated its terms of service, no longer allowing the service the right to sell a user's content and also providing improved procedures for users and copyright owners to notify Pinterest of copyright infringement. The new 4A's member bulletin "To Pin or Not To Pin ... That Is the Question" addresses the impact of these changes on both agencies and their clients and provides guidance on addressing potential copyright infringement claims. 4A's members can log in and download a copy of this new bulletin by visiting our Web site.
