Unscreened baby prompts evacuation at Newark airport

The Transportation Security Administration last week evacuated a terminal at Newark Liberty International Airport after an infant was not properly screened. The mother and child passed through security and the alarm went off; the mother then passed the child to the father, who had already passed through security, and the mother was cleared to proceed to the gate. As a result, the baby was not screened. The TSA started searching for the family as soon as agents realized the child was not screened.
