G1000 is approved for new Piper training aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued Type Certificate approval for the Garmin G1000 avionics suite to be installed in new Piper Archer single-engine airplanes in 2013. Eight of the training aircraft will be delivered to the Florida Institute of Technology and and 22 will be delivered to CAE Oxford Aviation Academy.
