House bill would halt ICD-10 implementation

A bill from Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, would bar HHS from replacing ICD-9 with ICD-10 medical code sets. In addition, the proposal urges the Government Accountability Office to look at the steps needed to "mitigate the disruption on health care providers resulting from a replacement of ICD-9." Hearings have not yet been set by the House Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means panels.
