How to stay competitive in the era of same-day delivery

Businesses of all sizes will have to invest in logistics to improve their e-commerce operations and keep up with a marketplace in which delivery times keep getting shorter, writes Ryan Galloway. For small businesses, using third-party logistics solutions can be a good way to stay competitive. "Businesses often rely on 3PL solutions to pick, package, and ship their wares, allowing the retailer to maintain little or no physical stock on hand," Galloway writes. "They also allow businesses to increase the speed of delivery by having multiple fulfillment centers in different geographical locations."
