Mich. lawmakers debate online sales tax legislation

Lawmakers in Michigan are considering a bill to include affiliated companies when determining whether an online retailer has a physical presence in the state and is required to collect sales tax. "This is not a new tax -- it's an enforcement issue. The tax is already due," said Jim Hallan, president and CEO of the Michigan Retailers Association.
