N.C. flying club struggles after investors quash deal

The North Carolina-based Smoky Mountain Flying Club lost a nonrefundable $11,000 deposit on an Evektor light sport airplane after investors reneged on the deal. "I had a couple of investors go sideways, so that threw a little thing into the deal," said the club's president, Tom Stovall. The club is looking for a new investor.
