NPD: Consoles, streaming media players are used most in the home

When it comes to accessing the Internet at home, streaming media players and video-game consoles are the products used most by consumers, while Blu-ray players and Internet-connected televisions are the devices used the least, according to The NPD Group. "While there are more Blu-ray disc players installed and connected to the Internet than streaming media players such as Apple TV and Roku, we expect that to change in the next year," NPD's John Buffone said. "Streaming media players will exceed the number of installed and Internet-connected Blu-ray players in 2014."
