Obama nominates Wheeler to lead FCC

Wireless industry veteran Tom Wheeler has been nominated by President Barack Obama to replace Julius Genachowski atop the Federal Communications Commission. "Tom knows this stuff inside and out," Obama said in his nomination speech. The Senate must now approve the nomination, and in the meantime, FCC veteran Mignon Clyburn will step in as chairwoman.
