PCAOB formally defines "extraordinary cooperation"

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has issued a formal policy statement defining "extraordinary cooperation" as "voluntary and timely action beyond compliance with legal or regulatory obligations." Self-reporting of violations would be an example. The statement also outlines incentives for firms and individuals that aid the PCAOB during investigations.
