Pilot Marilyn Meinhard was just a toddler when she caught the flying bug back in 1935. Her memoir "I Want To Fly," which she wrote for her children and grandchildren, recalls a lifetime in the Michigan sky. As a teenager, she joined a select group of Girl Scouts called Wing Scouts. Meinhard earned her private pilot's license in 1950 before finishing high school, and after getting married, she and her husband joined a flying club.
