South Korean inflation remains in low range

Consumer inflation eased to a 1.2% annual rate last month in South Korea, marking six straight months below 2%. Core inflation was also low, at 1.4%. "Falling international oil prices, economic uncertainties and the following slowdown in consumer spending led to the stabilization of the prices," a situation likely to persist, said an official of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.
