The advertising and marketing sector enjoyed its most robust year since the online boom of 2000, with total revenue for U.S.-based agencies totaling $17.59 billion in 2004. The world's top marketing firms -- Omnicom Group, WPP Group, Interpublic Group and Publicis Groupe -- accounted for a whopping 51.4% of total U.S. ad revenue.
