Sprint records quarterly loss, forecasts improvement

Sprint Nextel reversed a year-earlier profit, posting a loss of $211 million in the first quarter, but the carrier expects to see improvements in the second quarter as it works to reduce churn and make gains in postpaid subscribers. First-quarter revenue came in at $10.1 billion, with a full-year forecast calling for annual revenue between $41 billion and $42 billion.
