FDA clears AngioScore catheter

The FDA has granted AngioScore approval to market its AngioSculpt PTA catheter, which can be used for balloon dilatation of lesions in various arteries and to treat certain obstructive lesions. The clearance allows the company "to address several of the largest and fastest growing segments of the peripheral artery disease market in the U.S.," CEO Thomas R. Trotter said.
