Senator hopes procedural vote will move FAA bill forward

A Senate Democrat plans to set a procedural vote for Tuesday on legislation to reauthorize the FAA. The vote would work as a deadline for lawmakers to resolve an impasse over various nonaviation issues and amendments that might be included in the final Senate bill. The bill does not increase carrier taxes but does raise an additional $290 million from business jets through a higher fuel tax.
