Small-business group opposes credit-card reporting plan

An advocacy group for the self-employed says small businesses would be hurt by a Senate proposal to require credit-card issuers to report business owners' electronic payment transactions to the IRS. The National Association for the Self-Employed is concerned about how the IRS would use the information and no evidence that it would improve tax-payment compliance.
