States play role in insurance coverage for autism

Many parents are turning to state lawmakers for help with autism-therapy payment relief -- 13 states have laws on the books requiring insurance companies to pay, while 12 others have similar proposals under advisement. Medicaid funding also is an avenue being taken by states to help with autism-related services costs.
