BWI fares likely to stay competitive despite Southwest-AirTran merger

Southwest Airlines may have grabbed 70% control of passenger traffic at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport by merging with AirTran, but analysts say a slew of other nearby airports ensures competition. Reagan, Dulles, Philadelphia and Harrisburg airports are all within a relatively short drive of BWI.
