Geosocial tools struggle to gain traction, survey finds

About 55% of smartphone users know about the existence of location-based tools and about 40% actually use such services, according to a White Horse survey. Facebook Places is the most popular geosocial platform, accounting for 42% of location-service users, while Foursquare and Google Latitude are each being used by about a quarter of geosocial users, the survey found.
