Construction has started on a $35 million, 79-unit apartment project in Los Angeles. The project's architectural style will involve PK Architecture's "California courtyard" work, a design type common during the 1920s and 1930s. "Los Angeles hasn't seen a building of this size and quality in more than 50 years," said California Landmark Group Principal Ken Kahan.
