Online gaming software firm's Q1 revenues double

Playtech, an online gaming software firm based in the United Kingdom, reported revenues of $98.5 million for the first quarter, compared with $48.1 million in the same period last year. The company said strong growth at its casino business helped boost quarterly revenues. Playtech said it canceled its plan to acquire the social gaming assets of its top shareholder, Teddy Sagi, and will enter software license agreements instead.
