Flying robots maneuver without human beings at the controls

A robot developed at the University of Pennsylvania consists of multiple flying quadrotors that can perform assigned tasks with no remote control by human beings. The rotors are guided by communicating with a Vicon motion-capture system consisting of infrared cameras located throughout a test area. These and a computer-based navigation system guide the craft by connecting with their sensors.
