Gay N.Y. lawmaker slams critics of transgender-rights bill

Openly gay N.Y. state Assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell this week lashed out at critics of a bill aimed at protecting transgender people from discrimination, saying he was tired of hearing about hypothetical problems involving bathroom use. "Spare me your lectures," O'Donnell shouted, after telling his colleagues about a constituent who suffered brain damage in an attack at her college.
