Loblaw vows to make Bangladesh factories safer

Canadian retailer Loblaw will continue contracting with apparel factories in Bangladesh, where 47 factories currently make clothing for the company, and it is committed to improving conditions there, Executive Chairman Galen G. Weston said Thursday. Clothing for Loblaw's Joe Fresh line was made at one of five garment factories housed in the building that collapsed and killed hundreds last week.
