Reporting of fee data is a burden, small banks say

Regulators' request for detailed data on checking account fees and other bank charges is an unnecessary burden for small banks, says the Independent Community Bankers of America. The group is asking that banks with less than $10 billion in assets be exempted. Meanwhile, The Financial Services Roundtable and other groups representing larger banks have asked that the data request be dropped entirely.
