Study shows brain differences in children with behavior problems

Functional MRI scans of children with conduct disorders showed reduced responses to other people's pain, particularly in brain regions responsible for regulating empathy, emotions and impulse control. The findings indicate early vulnerability and could help scientists develop more effective, tailored interventions, researchers said. The findings appear in the journal Current Biology.
