Toxic metals found in some lipstick and gloss

Researchers from the University of California, Berkeley found cadmium, lead, chromium and other metals in commonly sold lipsticks and glosses. Playing with makeup potentially endanger children because no level of lead exposure is deemed safe for them, study co-author S. Katharine Hammond reported in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives. The FDA should pay greater attention to the issue, Hammond said.
