Web apps are stopgaps, and native apps are the real deal

Cross-platform development is much better for developers than it is for users, argues John Gruber. Most users will use Web applications when necessary but would prefer native apps, Gruber writes. "The dynamic remains unchanged. Web apps are the best way to reach the most possible people with the least effort; native apps are the best way to create the best possible experience" he writes.
