Zynga establishes an accelerator program for educational apps

Zynga's nonprofit arm, Zynga.org, is pumping $1 million into a partnership with the NewSchools Venture Fund to develop educational applications and learning games. LocoMotiveLabs, Kidaptive and Motion Math are participating in one of the venture's first accelerator programs this summer. "We want to help entrepreneurs create high quality, scalable learning games that will enhance learning experiences for all 21st century students," Zynga.org's Ken Weber says.
