Experts tie BMI history to undiagnosed diabetes in patients

Japanese researchers found lifetime maximum body mass index strongly correlated with an increased risk of undiagnosed diabetes in both men and women regardless of age, family history, hypertension and dyslipidemia. BMI change between age 20 and lifetime maximum BMI was also predictive of undiagnosed diabetes in patients, researchers reported in Diabetic Medicine.
