Fla. shelter closes doors to stem spread of parvovirus

A Lake County, Fla., shelter has temporarily closed and euthanized 16 dogs amid an outbreak of parvovirus, a highly contagious pathogen that causes vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms. Officials are disinfecting the facility to prevent the spread of disease.
