Md. middle-schoolers welcome troops home with patriotic songs, cards

Students at Rocky Middle School in Maryland recently gathered at the airport to welcome members of military home from Europe and the Middle East. The students wore red, white and blue, sang patriotic songs and gave handmade cards to the troops. School choral director Paul Heinemann connected with Operation Welcome Home Maryland to plan the event. "I wanted it to be an example of using their gift for other people, to say thank you in a way that was unique to them," he said.
