Experts at a conference sponsored by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat said that terrorism concerns don't have to mean the end of open architecture. Blast tests conducted on cable-supported glass walls with dampers showed that the system's flexibility is effective in helping it absorb energy, making it less likely to fall under blast conditions.
