Missouri backs plan to house new bioscience firm

Missouri budget negotiators yesterday backed a plan to provide several million dollars to build a facility to house Ventria Bioscience at Northwest Missouri State University. The governor's office called the plan a "job-creation, economic development tool," and Ventria's president called the plan "a very significant part of the attraction for Ventria" to move to Missouri from California.
