Air Force originally ruled out Boeing helicopter, documents say

Internal documents show the Air Force initially ruled out a variant of the Boeing helicopter for a contested $15 billion program for search-and-rescue helicopters. The Air Force eventually selected the Boeing model. Losing bidders Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky Aircraft are protesting the contract.
